Little Pencils

"Little Pencils"

This art piece was part of my 365 Project paying homage to trees from 2011 - 2012.

where beauty lives

 "She Who Speaks in Song"

“where beauty lives”

beauty does not begin

in the curve and fullness of lips

nor in the swinging sashay of well-rounded hips

cheekbones and skin cannot contain it

shape of nose, a mouth

cannot name it

lustrous hair can only dream to

compare in shine

the closest a body can come

to seeing beauty with eyes

is in the beholding

of one in another
